DESCRIPTION:
Seeking to fill a Volunteer Park Host position who can commit to a full summer recreational season (March – October) or 1 year. 24 hours a week required for RV site with full hookup (electric, water and sewer).
As a park host you are expected to be the eyes and ears of the park for the Belton Staff.
Open and close park gates everyday.
Check campers in and out of camping sites. Pass out camping permits for vehicles. Ensure campers are following the Park Rules and Regulations. Educate the public about the US Army Corps of Engineers
Complete 3 rounds through the park each day you’re on duty.
You will check the restrooms once a day for cleanliness and to sweep and/or mop it depending on what is needed.
Light maintenance: for example, replace light bulbs, trim trees, install posts. Take note of items that are broken, if you have the parts and skills to fix them then do so. Fill out a work order for everything you identify as broken and are not able to fix.
Fill out a Volunteer Daily Work Log and email a copy at the beginning of each month to the Volunteer Coordinator.
Attend a monthly safety meeting at the Lake Office.
Project is looking for volunteers who can commit to a full summer recreational season (March – October).
– Volunteers are required to provide their own licensed transportation with insurance and fuel, for any duties that they may need it for.
– The volunteer will be required to provide their own living quarters, RV must be presentable, registered, titled and road worthy.
– Volunteer should be able to work in park areas in hot and cold weather conditions.
– Willing to work well with other park hosts and the public.
– Some maintenance experience (preferred)
