Volunteer Guest Host

POSITION: VOLUNTEER GUEST HOST. Opportunities are available at many County Parks, including Big Eddy, Hudson and Dibblee Beach. See website for park descriptions and locations.

DEPARTMENT: Forest, Parks & Recreation

CLOSING: This recruitment is an open recruitment with candidates considered as opportunities in the various Parks occur.

DUTIES: Monitor Park activities. Accept fees and donations. Some on-site maintenance and custodial work required. Ensure positive relations with Park users, campers and staff. Position requires ability to perform maintenance duties (raking leaves, lifting items, emptying garbage cans, walking over uneven terrain, etc.)

FREE SITE PROVIDED: A free site for your RV or fifth wheel is provided, along with water, electricity and garbage.

TO QUALIFY: Some related experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to provide stable and consistent oversight of the Park.

APPLICATION REVIEW: The application review will consist of an evaluation of the applicant’s background. Unsigned or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applicants will undergo a background check, including a criminal history check. If a couple is applying jointly, each person must
fill out a separate application and authorization to release information form.
