Are you looking for the next great Montana adventure?
Cooney State Park is actively recruiting experienced outdoor recreationists to be camp hosts. Cooney State Park surrounds Cooney Reservoir at the base of the Beartooth Mountains. The reservoir is an outstanding fishery if you enjoy fishing for trout, walleye, perch and many more!
Cooney State Park is less than 20 miles north of Red Lodge Montana which is the gateway to one of the top 10 scenic drives in the Lower 48 – The Beartooth Pass Highway. Our camp host season is May 15-September 15. Shorter commitments will be considered on a case by case basis.
Hosts serve a minimum of 30 hours per week assisting with reservations, selling ice/firewood and minimal maintenance duties.
Host site amenities include graveled pads, 50 amp electrical hookups, water, sewer, mail service and trash disposal. In addition to free camping, campground hosts receive $100 monthly stipend from FWP.
