DESCRIPTION:

Looking to fill 2 volunteer fee attendant positions at Lake Red Rock Area parks for the spring/summer 2023 camping season.

 

 

Requirements of all positions:

1. Be available to work the entire service period, approximately 24 hours per week.

2. Be at least 18 years old and provide a safe, licensed, insured camping unit and vehicle.

3. Be physically capable of performing job duties.

4. Ability to maintain a respectful, cooperative and supportive relationship with co-workers.

5. Possess good communication skills.

6. Keep a neat appearance and exercise tact, diplomacy and courtesy always when dealing with the public.

7. Maintain a friendly attitude with the public and portray a positive image of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

8. Be willing to wear the uniform provided while performing duties.

9. Be willing to work within the safety guidelines provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide:

1. A free full-service campsite, typically within the area where service is provided.

2. Volunteer shirts and name tags that are to be worn while providing service to the public.

3. Equipment and supplies required to perform the service.

4. Training and safety guidelines appropriate to the service.

5. Reimbursement for incidental costs associated with some positions such as mileage for positions requiring use of personal vehicles to perform service.

 

 

 

DUTIES
Fee Attendant duties include:

Staff the campground entrance booth five consecutive days in every ten-day period.
Register incoming campers. Provide general campground surveillance and assist visitors as needed.
Monitor campsite occupancy.
Raise and lower flags at the entrance booth.
Care for a small flower bed.
Provide intermittent service in other recreation areas as needed and by mutual agreement.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Trustworthy, dependable, and friendly. Ability to deal well with minor conflict and maintain positive working relationships.
