DESCRIPTION:
Seeking volunteer to maintain multiple small day use areas (parks) around the lake.
Work will include assisting staff with general maintenance and care of park facilities, ensuring day use park areas are clean, maintained and safe. Duties may include grounds maintenance and mowing opportunities to maintain the health and appearance of landscaping and vegetation, and light (supplemental) cleaning of restrooms. Full hook-up campsite (50amp/water/sewer) available in return for 20 hrs/week of volunteer service.
Provide healthy and safe park facilities.
– Emptying trash
– Cleaning BBQ grill stands
– Picking up occasional litter
– Various inspections of facilities
Maintain appearance of parks
– Planting trees and shrubs
– Trimming of trees and shrubs
– Painting of buildings and facilities
– Report major maintenance issues to Park Rangers
Provide welcoming atmosphere to visitors
– Greeting visitors and answering questions
– Provide Park information/brochures
Ability to work independently and at the direction of staff. Interpersonal skills and desire to greet and assist public a must.
