DESCRIPTION:
Seeking to fill 1 gate house attendant position through 29 September, 2023; position could possibly extend another 6 months. Position requires working alternating weeks, with 5 hours a day 7 days a week every other week. Shift is from 5 pm to 10 pm. May request additional help on weekends.
This position will work in the Gatehouse located at Murrell Park. You will check in and/or make reservations for campers via Rec One Stop online system, greet park visitors, sell national park passes, answer general questions, verify occupancy by driving through camping areas, speaking with guests, and picking up trash left behind. Gate attendants will also have weekly and daily cleaning duties in the gate house.
Check in campers, make online reservations, sell passes, pick up trash, some minor visitor assistance, and provide general information
Strong customer service skills and knowledge of computers. Must have own vehicle for patrol. Must be able to bend over and pick up trash off the ground.

Position is in a busy park; facilities include the trailhead to a popular local mountain biking trail. Volunteers in this position will work both outdoors and in a gate house and will frequently interact with the visiting public as well as USACE personnel.
