Goose Lake State Recreation Area is an oasis on the shore of Goose Lake with scenic views of the Warner and Gearhart Mountains. Nestled amongst ranchland and wilderness areas the park is home to an abundance of wildlife including mule deer, bobcat, fox, coyote and a literal cornucopia of bird life. Located on the pacific flyway the park experiences the full majesty of the Spring and Fall avian migrations.
Goose Lake SRA features 48 campsites (42 electric/water and 6 tent) just west of New Pine Creek, Oregon. New Pine Creek is 14 miles south of Lakeview, OR on Hwy 395. Alturas, CA is 42 miles to the south on Hwy 395. Fuel, groceries and shopping are available in Lakeview, OR and Alturas, CA.
Host sites are full hook-up with water, sewer and 20/50-amp power. A shared laundry facility is available onsite for Host use. Host work includes camp duties (campsite cleanup, firewood sales, customer service), landscaping (vegetation trimming, irrigating, mowing), litter clean-up and restroom checks.
