The Colter Bay Village Cruise Boat Captain operates cruise boats and conducts scenic narrative describing the points of interest in and around Jackson Lake, which includes, but is not limited to: wildlife, birds, geology, human history of area, etc.

 

Job Specifications:

 

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • A valid 50 Ton USCG masters license
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications that are less than a year old.
  • Meet all Coast Guard and NPS requirements related to the role
  • Professional knowledge of marinas, general boating and passenger boat operations.
  • Knowledge of Twin Screw Boat Handling in limited space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to speak with large groups of people.
  • Pass a practical on the water exam, covering: boat operations, safety procedures, passenger safety orientation, emergency procedures, and environmental operations
  • Diesel motor maintenance experience preferred
  • Able to work long hours and variable shifts
