Job Description
DATES: 6/26/2023 – 11/1/2023
Host will manage reservations made through Recreation.gov and post reservations at sites. Provide information and assistance to campers, monitor campground for Forest Service, perform light maintenance duties.
DUTIES
- Greet incoming campers, provide visitor information/local recreational opportunity, report compliance and maintenance issues to Forest Service officer.
- Maintenace responsibilities include but are not limited to, picking up trash in the campground and fire rings, raking flammable materials away from fire rings, maintaining/painting/posting signs, cleaning and maintaining assigned facilities.
- Activities may include tree trimming, vegetation control measures and other infrastructure maintenance to promote an enjoyable recreation visitor experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Volunteer must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a professional, courteous and helpful attitude when dealing with all members of the public, fellow volunteers, and Forest Service Employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Paved host site with water and sewer hookups, fuel for personal electric generator, stove, refrigerator, and heat. A stipend is provided for reservation duties.
