Job Description

Seeking a hospitality superstar with a positive, can-do attitude to join our team as the General Manager for an RV resort & campground with marina rental operation located in Woodruff, Wisconsin. The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the resort including reservations, guest relations, housekeeping and merchandise. As the General Manager, you are the face of our brand and a representation of the ownership within the community.

This is a full-time position and reports to Home Office Management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Establish the expectations for effective presence, through positive leadership and responsive customer service, to ensure top-notch guest satisfaction.

·         Cultivate a family-friendly environment for all campers and guests.

·         Organize and provide timely follow-up on all requests from Home Office.

·         Uphold best practices, including but not limited to, personnel management, sales, guest relations and operations.

·         Expand marketing strategies tailored to boost camp-resort occupancy and reservations, including local advertising and trade show advertising.

·         Oversee the ordering and controls on all resale merchandise.

·         Respond courteously to all customer reviews in a timely manner, including but not limited to Google and social media reviews.

·         Development of all staff members through consistent feedback, approachability, and goal setting practices to maximize efficiency and promote the idea of team concept among staff.

·         Performing supervisory duties, included by not limited to, scheduling, training, guest services training and performance evaluation.

·         Financial analysis of food, beverage, labor costs and controllable expenses with appropriate action plans to improve financial results.

·         Monitor and maintain compliance with labor, expense, and capital budgets.

·         Oversee petty cash funds. Work with Home Office Accounting to refurbish funds as needed.

·         Review all resale/office related vendor invoices and contracts for accuracy.

·         Provide reports in a timely manner requested by Home Office Management or Accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

·         Hospitality, Resort or RV Park/Campground Management is a MUST! (Min. 3 years)

·         Verifiable track record of growth and success in a leadership position.

·         Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer knowledge.

·         Familiarity with or ability to learn use of Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs.

·         Ability to work long hours, weekends and holidays.

·         Ability to be on call 24 hours a day during occasional periods.

·         Excellent problem solving, motivational, organizational, and leadership skills.

·         Must have valid driver’s license.

·         Personable, enjoy working with children/people.

·         Excellent written and verbal skills.

·         Strong personal integrity and accountability with a can-do attitude.

·         Ability to travel and attend industry-specific trade shows as needed.

SALARY/BENEFITS

·         Performance bonuses.

·         On-site housing or RV site provided. Must be willing to stay on-site during season (May to October).

·         Two weeks paid vacation during the off-season months.
