INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
Camp Hosts’ responsibilities are greeting guests, answering questions, doing routine maintenance, cleaning lights, and possibly collecting campground fees. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in promoting recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset visitors or problems
Basic writing and computer skills
The ability to be on your feet, ride a bike and/or drive a golf cart and move around freely with guests
Ability to work positively with other campground employees and other staff members
Support all company policies and procedures.
Able to work Evening Shift and Weekends

Collecting fees
Helping guests solve problems
Provide information about the resort and local attraction
Picking up litter throughout the complex
Maintain a neat and orderly campsite
Assist other employees when asked
Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready always
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides regular and reliable attendance
WHO YOU WORK WITH
The Camp Host will report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.
WHAT YOU BRING
High school degree or GED equivalent
Previous customer service experience required
Thorough knowledge of the recreation industry programs and amenities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. In an outdoor setting, the employee must be able to perform in all weather conditions.
The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as expected with your normal job duties.
