Volunteer Activities• Campground Host Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionQuartz Flat campground is a beautiful multi-loop campground located with easy access just off of I-90. The camp host is only responsible for one camp loop. Each loop has approximately 25 campsites. The sites consist of tables, fire pits, parking spurs and vault toilets. Two of the loops have RV dump stations and flush unit buildings. The roads and spurs are paved. This is a beautiful spot and the host site will accomodate large RVs. The host site has full hookups including water, sewer, 30/50 amp electrical hookups, and propane. This opportunity is available from mid-May through Labor Day. Hosts are expected to work 25 hours per week, with time off during the week and varied weekends. Duties include cleaning of the sites and bathrooms, mowing, trimming, raking and taking visitor compliance and providing visitor information as requested. This is a fee campground and a forest service employee will collect the fees. This campground is located in a beautiful ponderosa pine stand and is easy to care for. It is located 15 miles east on I-90 of our district office in Superior and just 45 minutes by interstate from Missoula, Mt.
