DESCRIPTION:
Daily
1. Greet campers and hikers, inform them of campground regulations and assist in answering questions / concerns regarding camping or recreation opportunities in the area.
2. Check / clean empty campground sites that were occupied the previous night(s). This includes cleaning fire rings as needed. Be extra careful to make sure fire is out and ash is cool before disposing. Small amounts of ash can be spread in the woods and larger amounts should be bagged up and put in the trash.
3. Post new campsite reservations and remove postings from expired reservations.
4. Identify, fix or alert FS staff of any existing hazards or maintenance needs in campground.
5. Check in daily with the Manchester Ranger Station.
6. Check bathrooms, stock them with toilet paper and sweep floor.
7. Walk campground loop and pick up any litter / trash.
8. Keep fee envelopes stocked.
9. Notify USFS staff of any law enforcement issues in campground or area.
10. Make sure quiet hours are respected from 10pm to 6am. If issues arise, approach campers if comfortable. If issues persist or if not comfortable confronting noisy campers, collect information and alert USFS staff the following morning.
Weekly
1. Rake campsites as needed.
2. Check in with primary USFS contact person and relay any concerns or questions that have come up.
Monthly
1. Do a sweep of entire campground and assess any maintenance needs or hazards that have arisen. Relay information to USFS staff.
2. Brush back around campsites, vault toilets and bulletin board if needed.

The Forest will provide a private campsite with full hook ups including water, sewer, electric and a phone line. Additionally, the cost for cooking and heating propane will be reimbursed up to $300. There is also a $10 per day per volunteer reimbursement for expenses for each day where volunteer duties are performed. C
