Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Visitor Information Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionCAMPGROUND HOST at Moccasin Gap Recreation Area Responsibilities may include: Providing friendly service and recreational information to campers, hikers, OHV enthusiast, and day-use visitors. Taking recreational data by walking the camping, picnic, and recreational area twice a day Picking up litter when needed Providing on-site information to the general public Thursday-Monday and most holidays. Cleaning the restrooms and Day Use area on a daily basis. Explaining the campground regulations and the reasons for them Hosts are provided with a camping space, including electric and on-site water. Moccasin Gap Recreation Area and trails system is situated along Scenic HWY 7 N, past the town of Dover, Arkansas. This area provides numerous opportunities to get out in nature and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the state. Recreation opportunities include, but are not limited to, OHV riding, horseback, hiking, wildlife viewing, and more. To get to the recreation area, take the drive north from Dover for 15 miles; the site is on the left (west). There are 14 camping units, a day-use area, and 36 miles of multi-use trails.
