Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Trail/Campground Maintenance Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionWe are seeking a CAMPGROUND HOST at Horsehead Lake Recreation Area. Responsibilities may include: Providing friendly service and recreational information to campers, hikers, anglers, boaters, and day-use visitors. Take recreational data by walking the camping, picnic, and recreational area twice a day; some litter pick-up when needed. Clean the restrooms and shower area on a daily basis. Explain the campground regulations and the reasons for them. Hosts are provided with a camping space, including full hook-ups (water, 60 amp electric, septic) for their RV. Horsehead Lake Recreation Area is situated around a picturesque 98-acre mountain lake at the foothills of the Ozarks, providing all types of recreation activities from fishing to camping.  Nearby attractions include the Ozark Highlands trail, the town of Clarksville, and the Mulberry Wild and Scenic River. To get to the recreation area, is approximately 11 miles west of Clarksville off Hwy 164 West. Turn right at sign and follow to campground. There are 11 camping units, 12 picnic units, day-use area, playground, swim area, boat ramps and 98-acre lake, and hiking trails.
