Job Description
Camp Host position available at Anastasia State Park. Anastasia has 4 miles of beautiful undeveloped beach and is located 2 miles from historic downtown St. Augustine. Camp hosts are expected to help maintain the campground, and greet campers and visitors. Camp host will be provided with a site that includes water, electric and sewage hook-up.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Campground Host duties include cleaning camping sites at check out as well as 1 bathhouse each work day. Cleaning sites would include cleaning the grill and/or fire ring, picking up trash/debris, etc. (the use of cleaning products is required in the bathhouse). Camp host positions can be strenuous at times. One must be able to work in the heat and/or rain and have the ability to walk over uneven terrain for several hours in duration. You must keep a neat and professional appearance, have good people skills and be courteous and professional on the radio and in person.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
Camp Hosts work a 3 day on/3 day off schedule. Park Residents must complete a minimum of 24 hours per week per campsite
TRAINING/PRE-REQUISITS:
Volunteers must have:
-a current Volunteer Application and Volunteer Agreement on file
-provide a valid form of identification
-pass a State and Federal sexual predator/offender check
-must have completed their DEP Annual Combo Training
Orientation and Training will be provided at the park

- Upon completion of 250 hours, you will receive a special volunteer annual pass for you and your family to any Florida State Park (*request passes from the Volunteer Manager. Some restrictions apply)
- Join us in park staff gatherings (i.e., potlucks, celebrations, holiday parties, etc.) and the annual district Volunteer Appreciation gathering
- Be a part of the Florida Park Service family, working alongside like-minded staff and volunteers
- You have the opportunity for personal enrichment and experience working in a unique state park setting
