Special Projects- Office Area-Valley of the Rogue State Park

Valley of the Rogue State Park is located off the I-5 along the beautiful Rogue River. The 277 acre park is comprised of a variety of mature trees, and includes the Green Way Bike trail as well as a shorter walking path. The park has more than 170 Campsites of various types as well as a Hall for our Junior Ranger Programs. It also features a boat ramp, rest area, and picnic areas.  In addition to camping the park is popular for hosting a variety of Special Events.

This Host Site is at our Main Office, a couple miles from the Campground.  It is a full hookup but is shorter than many of our sites accommodating a thirty-foot Recreational Vehicle.  Additional parking available for a car or truck.  Laundry is available at the park with no charge in F Loop.  Host mail will also be delivered to this location by the Park Staff.  While not on duty hosts can enjoy the nearby communities of Medford, Ashland, and historic Jacksonville as well as explore local points of interest such as the Table Rocks.

Volunteer host positions are a valued and integral component of the Valley of the Rogue State Park team. The following lists are meant to be representative of the duties that comprise the Valley of the Rogue Host positions. Position duties vary and may change depending on the time of year, staffing levels, the specific interests and talents possessed by individual park hosts and the specific location (site) you are assigned.  All Host Assignments are dependent on passing a background check and completing mandatory online trainings.
