RESORT HOST JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful Facilities Manager/Resort Host at Lake Greenwood Motor Coach Resort brings a customer service focus, a general knowledge of RV resort operations, basic computer skills, and basic maintenance and housekeeping skills. The successful facilities manager/host demonstrates flexibility in responding to resort maintenance and renter and owner needs as they arise. The facilities manager is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the resort and welcomes and provides information to prospective buyers, contractors, and inspectors.
Resort Host duties and responsibilities
The Host’s responsibilities rotate on a week-on, week-off basis. The following represent typical day-to-day duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned as needs arise:
Greets and assists renters in locating and accessing their assigned sites; answers questions and explains resort rules that apply to them; distributes resort maps and copies of resort rules.
Instructs renters who have rented the use of the boat docks how to access the areas of the docks available for use by renters and where to store their boat trailers.
Is familiar with local points of interest, activities, and the location of services that might be requested by renters such as groceries, restaurants, churches, tourist attractions, and local events.
Is observant of activities and issues within the resort requiring attention, (e.g., a downed tree, a problem renter, an issue on an individual site, power outage in the clubhouse); notifies the resort facilities manager of situations that could affect the health and safety of renters and owners as well as any maintenance items that need immediate attention.
Sets an example by practicing good housekeeping in and around their assigned site and by observing all resort rules.
Performs daily light housekeeping, trash pick-up, and maintenance, including:
· Opening and closing the clubhouse
· Site trash pick-up
· Clubhouse trash pick-up
· Emptying of dog station trash cans and replacing waste bags
· Cleaning of clubhouse interior (floors, restrooms, counters, window and door glass, and appliances)
· Cleaning of outside kitchen counters and appliances
· Cleaning of outside restrooms, shower, and laundry facilities
· Cleaning of outside tables and chairs
· Restocking supplies in restrooms and indoor and outdoor kitchen areas
· Clearing debris in the pool or spa
· Keeping interior and exterior furniture neatly arranged
· Replacing light bulbs and HVAC filters as needed
· Checking and logging pool and spa chemical levels
· Maintaining supplies in the clubhouse owner’s closet
· Maintaining supplies in the clubhouse janitor closet
· Attending to general maintenance issues that arise
· Reporting maintenance issues that need to be addressed by outside parties
· Re-setting tripped circuit breakers in the clubhouse, laundry room, and rental sites as necessary
· Seasonally, assists with opening and closing the pool
Term, compensation, and other benefits:
The resort facilities manager/host has the use of an attractive RV site including all utilities at no charge for the duration of the term of service; the resort host will also have access to all resort amenities including the clubhouse, pool, spa, and resort social activities.
Items Provided by the resort host/facilities manager:
Mobile/Self-Contained Class A or Super C motorhome.
Supervision and Training Provided:
Reports to the LGMR board president or designee; will receive training in resort renter registration and entry procedures, renter refunds, and daily/weekly/seasonal duties; additionally, the host/facilities manager will be apprised of protocols to follow in the event that maintenance issues need to be addressed by outside providers.
