Point Parks is currently seeking full-time RV Park Managers and Assistant Managers to work in our portfolio of parks. The RV Park Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the property in accordance with Point Parks’ vision, including maximizing financial performance, ensuring guest satisfaction, and staff development. The perfect candidate will have a passion for guest services, leadership, and brand development. We are seeking proactive problem-solvers, self-starters, who lead by example, and continuously drive success and encourage professional growth of their team members.
The Assistant Manager is the “manager on-duty” anytime the Park Manager is off or away from the park. The Assistant Manager is fully trained in most management responsibilities and will provide full support to the Park Manager. You will be empowered to handle management tasks when the Park Manager is off duty.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age, have 2+ years in a leadership role, possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Experience in the hospitality industry or in property management is highly preferred.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
● Make guest reservations and collect payments for rents and utilities.
● Through training, gain familiarity with the park booking software.
● Prioritize the guest & create lasting impressions during the check-in/check-out process.
● Work with potential guests on waitlist to initiate rental applications, background checks and rental agreements.
● Gain an understanding of the local market, including awareness of competitors, events & hotspots and determining how to best utilize that info for marketing our parks through social media and other avenues.
● Create and distribute monthly newsletters.
● Responsible for operating within park budgets and seeking out revenue generating opportunities.
● Plan and host regular events in the park to promote positive guest experiences.
● Regularly walk or drive the park, greeting and conversing with guests.
● Help hire new staff members and oversee training, job performance and development.
● Maintain an immaculate appearance of the park including office space, clubhouse, and grounds.
● Ensure safety for all staff and guests through enforcement of company & park policies.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
● Strong customer service skills with an aptitude for sales & marketing
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Leadership skills and ability to train, support, and motivate staff.
● Ability to establish rapport and successful working relationships with managers, staff, co-workers, volunteers, contractors and park guests.
● Use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision-making.
● Self-motivated, detailed and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills.
● Ability to handle conflict in a constructive manner; works well under pressure.
● Literate in Microsoft Office and willing to learn reservation software.
● Demonstrated passion and understanding of the RV lifestyle and the hospitality industry.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
● Moderate physical activity required – frequent lifting and moving of propane bottles and other items, weighing up to 50 lbs.
● Required to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
● Will be required to work in all weather conditions including in heat and freezing temperatures.
● Regular cleaning of indoor and outdoor spaces, including sweeping, mopping, pressure washing, wiping surfaces which requires bending, stooping, crouching, reaching and climbing.
● Use of RV park vehicles – utility cart, and various other related equipment.
● There is potential for exposure to dirt, dust, loud noises, foul odors, fumes, work safety hazards, darkness, and cramped spaces.
● Work will occur across uneven terrain, including hills, slopes, grades, and wetlands, which may present numerous slipping and tripping hazards.
Required Licensing: Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to complete training and become certified to dispense propane.
Work schedule:
The park operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
● Shifts can vary from 3 to 9 hours in length.
● Work shifts are required Sunday through Saturday. Must be flexible to work any shift during the week, including “on-call” hours. Schedule will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation and benefits: Competitive salary, 2 weeks paid vacation, monthly cell phone reimbursement, monthly health insurance reimbursement, paid holidays, highly discounted or free RV site, free electricity & discounted propane.
Work locations:
● Ontario, Oregon
● Nampa, Idaho
These locations are 35 miles apart and there may be times that you are required to travel between locations for work shifts.
