Cabin Host/Campground Host Relief

At Prineville Reservoir, we regard our park hosts as integral members of our team. Your contributions, efforts, and ideas are always valued.

As OPRD’s first designated IDA park (International Dark-sky Association), Prineville Reservoir offers exceptional star- gazing opportunities.

This position is located at the main campground. The host campsite is a full-hookup site (electric, water, and sewer). Reception for cell phones is limited, but WiFi is provided

Our cabin hosts assist park staff in camp operations, customer service, maintenance, and beautification with the goal of creating positive experiences for park visitors. The main responsibilities are cabin cleaning and campsite cleaning. Cabin hosts clean campsites two days per week (while the camp hosts are off duty). We also ask for assistance with light landscaping which may include raking, blowing, and trimming.

For hosts with interest in special projects, we like to “play to your strengths.” If you have special skillsets, we would love to utilize your strengths for projects in related scopes.

For single hosts, we ask for 20-25 service hours/week. For a pair of hosts, we ask for a combined 30-35 service hours/week (Friday-Tuesday with Wednesday/Thursday off). We ask for cabin/campground maintenance (2-3 hours) to be completed between the hours of 10am and 4pm. We would like hosts to be available from 6pm-8pm to assist in the sale of firewood and ice. We gladly make accommodations for occasions where hosts would like to go to town for groceries, dinner, etc. We just ask for communication, so all duties can be covered.
