We are looking for campground hosts for Hyatt Lake Campground in Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. The campground is ideally situated on the banks of Hyatt Lake reservoir at 5,200′ in the Cascade Mountains.You can find more information here: https://www.blm.gov/programs/national-conservation-lands/national-monuments/oregon-washington/cascade-siskiyou  Hyatt Lake Campground is a busy campground and day-use operation.  It has 54 campsites, day-use areas, 2 group site areas, and 5 campsites specific for equestrian horse camping.  All sites in the campground, including group shelters, are reservable at www.recreation.gov Hosting duties include but are not limited to, daily campground reservation duties (e.g. checking campers in/out of sites, some work in recreation.gov, fee compliance), routine bathroom cleaning and monitoring, site trash pick-up, monitoring facilities and campground for visitor safety and security.  Host duties start mid-May, and run through the end of September, depending on the weather.   A campsite with electricity, water, sewer, and access to hot showers will be provided.  Job training, a BLM volunteer uniform (e.g. shirt, nameplate, hat and jacket), and access to a golf cart will also be provided. A monthly stipend, depending on experience, will be provided. Successful completion of a background check is required. We look forward to hearing from you!
