Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Construction/Maintenance • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Back Country/Wilderness • General Assistance • Weed/Invasive Species Control Photo Courtesy of FWS DescriptionDuties might include: Maintain and repair grounds, interior/exterior structures, buildings and related fixtures, and utilities Carpentry projects from structural to detailed Maintain and repair motor vehicles, heavy equipment and trailers Skill in operation of tools, including handsaws, power planers, plumb bobs, laser levels, gauges, dividers, closet augers, electrical circuits testing equipment and gas and electrical welders Inventory of tools, equipment and machinery Degree of difficulty: Can be physically demanding — Heavy lifting required; often working outdoors in remote areas with potential for extreme heat and insects.
