Volunteer Activities• Office/Clerical • Other • Tour Guide/Interpretation • Visitor Information DescriptionSanta Ana NWR is looking for active, healthy volunteers that can assist the refuge in our newly established biking pilot program. Biking will start in August and will be offered on Thursdays-Sundays until the end of December. Two routes will be offered. One is 3.45 miles and the other is 7 miles long. Volunteers will explain the rules, issue permits, track information on riders (family or single units, etc.) and will ride the routes checking for compliance of rules (wrong way, riding on the trails, no permit, etc.) Provide friendly reminder of rules and help create a safe and fun recreational activity. Volunteers must have their own bicycles and be willing and able physically to ride the whole 7 mile loop several times a day.
