ADDRESS: Cape Hatteras National Seashore
38 Irvin Garrish Highway
Ocracoke, North Carolina 27960
DEPT: National Park Service
DATES: 6/1/2024 – 11/30/2024
DESCRIPTION:
The Ocracoke Island District, located within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, seeks out enthusiastic people who are happy to engage the public about a rich, seaside history in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
As team members, you will actively participate in duties to support the interpretive operations and mission goals of the park. This includes opening the base of the Ocracoke Lighthouse to visitors and staffing a visitor information desk as the Ocracoke Discovery Center.
Visitation significantly increases during the summer months, so lighthouse and discovery center duties are primarily centered upon customer service and support of interpretation operations.
The dates of this position are flexible; however, we ask that you are available for at least 6 weeks from June to November. An RV site with full hook-ups (must provide your own RV) is available with a 32 hour a week commitment.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, we encourage you to apply.
