Job Description
Snowdale Park is in Salina on Lake Hudson. The park offers a RV and tent campground, playground, sand volleyball, fishing dock and boat ramp. The Camp Host will have the opportunity to contribute towards the GRDA mission of environmental awareness, promoting conservation of natural resources and providing quality of life enhancement in Oklahoma. This is a great opportunity to live and volunteer in a GRDA park.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Greet park guests and answer questions
Clean campsites, clean and empty trash at day-use areas and restrooms/ showers
Conduct visitor counts
Monitor campsite occupancy and assist in campground reservation fee collection
May assist with maintenance and infrastructure projects
Inform GRDA police of any problems
Duties dependent upon the current park needs and skills of the volunteer
Qualifications:
Minimum age: 18
Criminal background check required
Walk on uneven terrain, bending stooping and able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Capable of clear verbal and written communications in English
The ideal candidate is friendly, flexible, and brings a positive attitude. All camp hosts interact with the public. If you love the outdoors and lake life, you could be a good match at our park.
Host needed through October 2023. Typical work would be Friday – Monday.
Hosts must provide their own RV. Hosts will be provided with hook-ups (water/electric) site in exchange for a minimum 24 hours/week (32 hours/week – double occupancy).
