DESCRIPTION:
Must pass background screening. The position requires the volunteer to man the front desk at the Canyon Lake Project Office. To qualify for an RV site, volunteer must work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 08:00 – 16:30. Exact schedule to be determined prior to first working day. Primary duties include greeting visitors and guests as they enter the office, answering the main phone line, directing calls to the appropriate Corps employee, assisting the general public with their questions and concerns, and various other admin duties as assigned. The Corps may also require the volunteer to open the gates at Overlook Park at 08:00 and/or close the gates to Overlook Park at sunset. Gate duty can be assigned on weekdays and/or weekends. Volunteers will be provided a campsite with electric and water hookups in either Potters Creek Park or Cranes Mill Park; volunteer will need to commute in their personal vehicle from the campsite to the project office; mileage will not be reimbursed.
