Job Description: Elderberry Hospitality LLC is hiring on behalf of Zion Mountain Ranch, a ranch-style resort, and is currently seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join our team as a Wrangler. Zion Mountain Ranch borders the east end of Zion National Park and consists of over 6,000 acres. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Horse Care and Management: Feed and groom horses, ensuring proper saddling and tack fitting for each horse.
- Trail Riding and Guiding: Lead trail rides for guests, ensuring their safety and enjoyment and providing basic riding instructions for guests with varying skill levels.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner, sharing information about the ranch, its history, and the animals.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pastures, tack sheds and surrounding areas including tending fence lines and other animal enclosures.
Qualifications:
- Strong horsemanship skills and knowledge of horse care required.
- Previous experience as a wrangler or in a similar role on a ranch is preferred.
- Experience in natural horsemanship preferred.
- Wilderness First Responder certification is required but can be obtained after employment.
- Ability to work independently as a part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Applicants should expect to work outdoors in all weather conditions, have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and be on their feet for extended periods of time.
On-site housing is included as part of your compensation for full time employees, a $2/per day or hook-ups for your own RV are also available if you don’t already live in the area. We are in a rural location, so your own transportation is needed.

Pay: $10.00 – $13.00 per hour
