Job Description
We are looking for a retired person or couple who would like to be the grounds keeper of our property at Haigler Creek about an hour east of Payson, AZ, elevation of 5200 feet. It’s in the pines of the Tonto National Forest about 13 miles from Young, AZ. The property is roughly three acres with a 5800 sq. ft. lodge we rent out for family reunions and church groups of up to 40 people.
It would require about 15 hours per week of work, April through end of October, mostly mowing, watering, weeding, fixing an occasional sprinkler head, etc.
You would get free parking for an RV, water, electric, septic, one week use of the lodge for your own family group. All this is about an $11,000 value. You’d have access to fishing on the creek/mountain lakes, boating, hiking, etc. We have a 100-year-old apple orchard from which you can have all the apples you can eat (some pears too). We’d also provide space for you to do a little garden/chickens if you’d like.
