Day Use Host

Come and explore Bend’s historic cinder cone right in the center of town. Hike up and around on one of three trails. Once at the top, get ready for a grand panoramic view of the high desert. The park staff and a multitude of hikers need you!   We need a host or hosts for 4 -5 hours per person a day, 5 days a week to keep an eye on things for us.  Weekends are the busiest. You will be responsible for opening and closing the east parking lot gate and opening the summit gate. The east parking lot gate opens at 8:00am and closes at a posted time.  The summit gate opens at 10:00 am and is closed by a security company is closed for the winter  November 15th-April 15th.  We need someone to clean the restrooms and pull trash, wander the trails and road to the top patrolling for litter, vandalism, answer questions and doing some rule advisory pull invasive species in the summer and some snow removal in the winter. You get to stay in an awesome full hookup site with 50 amp service just off the east side trail head parking lot.  Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested!

Looking for a single host or set of hosts. Days off Wednesday-Thursdays. The host hours are usually 2-3 hours in the morning and maybe 15-30 minutes at gate closing time.  Which leaves you free to enjoy your afternoons and return to check the restrooms and close the east parking lot gate in the evenings.

Applicants must pass a national background and DMV check.
