Clyde Holliday State Park is looking to fill one maintenance host position for the months of May and September.
Clyde Holliday SRS is a 31 site reservable campground located outside of John Day. The park is an oasis shaded by tall cottonwood trees along the sparkling John Day River. The park has 2 teepees (open mid-April through late September which are on the reservation system), Hiker/Biker camp, hot showers and flush toilets, horseshoe pits, a nature trail along the river and a small pond for wildlife viewing with an ADA accessible fishing platform.
- Duties
Assists park staff with major cleanup, maintenance or construction/repair projects. Assists park staff with maintenance operations before, during and after special events. Maintenance hosts may perform minor building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, painting, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Work Schedule
Maintenance hosts work a minimum of 20 hours per person per week performing a variety of maintenance duties. Maintenance hosts fill in for Campground hosts on their days off. Maintenance Hosts will assume Campground Host duties on those days. Maintenance hosts will usually work 5 days on and 2 consecutive days off.
- Accommodations
The Maintenance Host site is located in the park’s maintenance shop yard. It has water, electricity, fire pit, picnic table and is situated along the John Day River. There is no sewer hook up in this site, however, there is a dump station located in the park.
