Job Description
Are you someone who has a deep love for nature and enjoys meeting new people? Do you want to work in a Texas State Park located in the beautiful Hill Country near San Antonio? Then, Guadalupe River State Park is looking for you!
As a Maintenance Park Host, you will play a vital role in the operation of the park. We are seeking enthusiastic, cordial, and outgoing individuals to help with maintenance operations. Although no prior experience is required, it is a plus.
Please note that the schedule for this position will include weekends and holidays. You will be responsible for performing routine park maintenance duties such as mowing, landscaping, trail maintenance, cleaning restrooms, cleaning campsites, cleaning other park facilities, and picking up litter in the park.
For this position, singles are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, while couples are required to work a minimum of 32 hours per week. First-timers are required to stay for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months, subject to performance review. Terms and conditions will be discussed during the interview. Besides working, you will have the privilege of staying in the park for free for the duration of your stay. You will have a 50 amp full hook-up site and access to washer/dryer facilities.
A liability waiver signature and a background check are required. You will also need a defensive driving certification to operate state vehicles, and we will provide the training program to you at no charge.
Guadalupe River State Park is a highly sought-after destination, and we have limited opportunities available. Please apply as soon as possible if you are interested in joining our team and contributing to one of Texas’s greatest state parks.
