Job Description

– Literally the “coolest” campground in TexasHelp our team steward this special place while providing our guests with positive experiences.
We have 4 park host sites, and each includes full hook-up site- sewer, water/50 amp, and picnic table.
Minimum commitment of 2 months.
Basic duties may include: campground checks, bird blind feeding, light maintenance, customer service, supporting office staff, assisting after-hours check-ins, etc. 32 hrs/week/couple, 25 hrs/week/individual. Work days/shifts may vary but can usually be tailored to park host’s schedules.
Help our team steward and protect this unique Texas State Park for use today and by future generations. You can spend time in a beautiful place while assisting the park with critical operations. Volunteers are our greatest natural resource!
To meet our business needs, we are looking for park hosts who can go beyond basic campground duties to contribute in one of the following areas:
– maintenance support and projects
– interpretation (leading engaging walks and talks and tours)
Requirements: Must be 18 or over. Pass a Criminal Background Check, ATV online training, Completion of Distracted Driving course. FYI- most of the park does not have cell service other than Verizon booster at HQ. Service is available on the top of Park Road 3A (Skyline Drive) or 4 miles away in Fort Davis. WIFI is usually available at several hotspots in the park.
