Our Park is home to 113-million-year-old, world class dinosaur tracks located in the Paluxy River and two Sinclair Dinosaur Statues from the 1964 World Fair. As a Park Host, you will serve as a valuable member of the Dinosaur Valley team by assisting with the day-to-day functions of the Park and providing outstanding customer service to park visitors.

Park Hosts assist park staff with various duties that include but aren”t limited to:
– Morning and Evening Campground Checks
– Trash Pickup
– Fire-Ring Maintenance
– Restroom Cleaning
– Minor Construction Projects
– Vehicle Repair
– Collecting Fees at Our Headquarters
– Assisting with Schools Groups, Special Events, and Interpretive Programs.

Duties offered to Park Hosts are dependent on Park needs and skills of the volunteer.

Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. A criminal background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with customer service and ability to effectively communicate with the public, other volunteers, and staff. Experience with basic maintenance and custodial tasks in state parks or other camping facilities. A commitment to protecting the Park”s natural and cultural resources and educating visitors on their part in conservation of those resources.

Time Commitment and Benefits: Park Hosts must commit to a minimum stay of 3 months and a minimum workweek of 24 hours. Hosts will need to provide their own living quarters but have onsite access to a washer and dryer. In exchange for your time and hard work, Park Hosts will have full RV hookups at their site (water, electric, and sewer) and have (2) 30-amp and (2) 50-amp site options for your stay. Be aware that cell phone coverage is not strong in our camping loop; Verizon has the best service in the Park.
