Visitor Center Volunteer

The Mobile Visitor Venter allows volunteers to travel to different locations throughout the Park, usually in the South District, in order to answer questions and showcase various exhibits. Mobile Visitor Center Volunteers provide basic orientation, trip planning information and informal interpretation to visitors of Shenandoah National Park. Volunteers will also assist visitors with planning backcountry trips and issuing Junior Ranger badges. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for people who enjoy engaging people from diverse backgrounds, have strong communication and customer service skills, and enjoy sharing their knowledge about the park resources with others.

RV Trailer pads with full hook-up may be available for volunteers committing to 32 hours/week for multiple months.
