Knoll Lake Campground is a recently renovated campground that is located by Knoll Lake. Attractions: Fishing, boating, hiking, sightseeing, wildlife viewing, photography. Facilities: 33 single unit sites, fire rings, and cooking grills, drinking water, toilets (vault type). Boat ramp at lake. Small daily reimbursement available. Duties of a Host: Hosts represent the Forest Service in public contacts with visitors by giving directions, explaining rules and regulations, answering questions, providing information, and giving interpretive programs. They report vandalism and other problems to Forest Service personnel. They also perform minor maintenance, rake sites, clean fire rings and picnic tables, pick up litter, inspect the campground or recreation facility, monitor sign boards, clean and stock restrooms, keep records, monitor area use, and occasionally fill out forms. A Host must work well with people, be personable, neat in appearance, and behave in a manner appropriate to the workplace. They may be required to be on site three plus days per week, especially on weekends and heavy use holidays. Hosts at this location are NOT required to collect fees from campers or visitors. The work of a Host involves walking, raking, shoveling, mopping, sweeping, and working outside in a variety of weather conditions. This may include standing, bending, twisting, carrying, and lifting.
