JOB DESCRIPTION:
Fossil Butte National Monument is looking for a volunteer to assist at the front desk answering questions, orienting visitors, swearing in junior rangers, and assisting the bookstore clerk. The position is available between August and September 2024.
An RV site with electrical, water, and sewer hookups is provided with a minimum of 32 hours worked per week. You must bring your own RV.
Fossil Butte National Monument preserves a portion of the sediments of 52-million-year-old Fossil Lake. The area is known for the abundance of well-preserved fossil fishes, insects, plants, birds, and more. The visitor center is the main attraction in the park and has over 400 fossils on display.
