Small campground and 2 cabins located about 1 hour from the town of Palmer. Overlooking the Matanuska Glacier, we’re located at Pinochle Trailhead, lots of hiking, biking and ATV trails access right from campsites. Several lodges in the area with gas and restaurants. Sites are basic…no power…flat gravel pads with firepit and picnic tables. can accomadate up to 40 foot motorhomes and trailers. Cabins are simple bunks, coffee counter and table. Most bookings are online but some drive up last minute. Host would need to spend an hour or two a day just checking cabins, stocking outhouse or picking up an odd peice of garbage. Can cut and sell firewood bundles for extra cash. Many campers are return customers and 95% are really great guests. snow melts in end of May and season runs through September or October.
