RV INFORMATION: Trailer/RV PadsDescription: We offer a paved covered RV pad with full hookup (30/50 amp), propane provided with laundry facilities in adjacent bunkhouse. Site is 10 minutes from nearest shopping facility and medical services.

Volunteer Activities• Construction/Maintenance • Other • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Fish/Wildlife • General Assistance • Weed/Invasive Species Control Photo Courtesy of FWS DescriptionRV Pad is located on Duck River Bottoms, which is considered the heart of the refuge.  This area is very very rich in wildlife adjacent to Kentucky Lake and the mouth of the Duck River.  The scenery is spectacular, but the area is a bit remote with limited cell service. This is an outdoor field opportunity.  Volunteers are asked to work (3) 8 hour days per week, but may not be consecutive. Couples will work same schedule.  Minimum of 3 months, maximum of 6 month stay.  Arrival and departure dates are flexible.  Duties may include:  Mowing, weed eating, trash removal, painting, maintenance of observation decks, courtesy docks, hiking trails, blowing leaves, and other various projects based on skill level.  Occasional work with the biology program may include wood duck banding and goose banding, assisting with refuge weekend events such as fishing, canoe/kayak event.
