JOB DESCRIPTION:
· The Belton Lake Office is seeking motivated volunteers to assist lake staff and volunteers with lake maintenance operations. Volunteer will work under supervision of Lake Maintenance Technician. Must be able to work independently or as a team. Some volunteer duties may vary based on volunteer backgrounds and technical experience. A minimum of 24 hours of volunteer service is required in exchange for a campsite. Water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electrical services provided at campsite.
Volunteers will be assigned to assist with various types of maintenance projects including but not limited to electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, construction activities, vehicle or equipment maintenance, facility mowing, park cleaning, tree trimming, painting projects and other duties as assigned. Volunteers with maintenance and equipment operation backgrounds preferred.
Description Qualifications:
o Volunteers are required to provide their own licensed transportation with insurance and fuel, for any duties that they may need it for.
o The volunteer will be required to provide their own living quarters, RV must be presentable, registered, titled and road worthy. Volunteer should be able to work in park areas in hot and cold weather conditions.
o Applicants are required to commit to six months of volunteer service minimum
o Some maintenance experience (preferred)
o Some computer skill experience (preferred)
