JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a two-person job. NO restroom cleaning.
If willing to commit to a full season of 24 weeks (to include both “bookend” holidays), volunteer will be eligible for round-trip long-distance mileage i.e., $0.655/mile in 2023 (TBA for 2024) if its 100 miles or more. However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $1000 for the round trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
If you are committed to half a season of 12 weeks to include April 13th – July 4th week or July 7th – Sept. 30th, volunteer will be eligible for a one-way trip long-distance mileage i.e. (0.655/mile in 2023, TBA for 2024), if its 100 miles or more. However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $500 for a one-way trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
We will work with folks who have a shorter time frame in mind they just won’t qualify for the long-distance reimbursement.
· Desire to work an 8 hours/day, 3 days on 3 days off and live in a natural outdoor setting, with your own RV.
· Desire to meet and interact with people from varied backgrounds.
· Appearance should be neat and reflect positively on the Corps.
· Ability to remain calm in busy situations.
· Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and carry for 25 feet and work in the heat.
· Visually able to spot safety hazards and take prompt appropriate action to correct in accordance with training provided.
