NOTE: This is a seasonal job from September-April.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
At Ocotillo RV Resort, we are in the people business. At our resorts, employees liking their job and liking who they work with are the most important job duties of the Resort Manager. Because we know that happy employees make happy customers. As the leader of the resort staff, you will be in charge of developing genuine authentic relationships with your employees and staff that are fundamental to performance. The other major duty of the resort manager is controlling expenses. Not many people like budgets. But minimizing expenses allows us to give more value to our customers, employees, and owners. We need a great leader who cares deeply about our staff, guests and the bottom line. The Resort Manager’s mission is to develop employees into the highest and best versions of themselves, so that they can deliver tremendous value to our guests, while achieving exceptional financial results.
JOB DUTIES
Employee Leadership. Lead/develop employees into the highest and best versions of themselves.
Public Relations. Respond to guest and resident inquiries. Handles and resolves guest and resident complaints. (Net Promoter Score)
Budget. Work within an annual budget.
Works with the marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy.
Enforces resort rules, regulations and standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years property management/resort experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
Creative problem solving
Motivated by challenges.
Previous sales and leasing experience, preferred
General knowledge of property maintenance
Solid negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
General knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to housing and employment law
Flexibility to respond to resort emergency needs during non-business hours (rare).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$50,000-$75,000 salary
