RV INFORMATION: A full hook up RV spot will be available for use to the volunteer at no cost with a minimum of 24 hours of service a week. Laundry facility is available. Area has limited cell phone service.

DESCRIPTION

Volunteer Activities• Campground Host DescriptionThe campground host volunteer will be responsible for campground and day use area coordination. Campground hosts will primarily assist with posting reservations and answeriing visitor questions. Volunteer will monitor the campground, day use,and swim beach areas and notify Forest Service of issues. Volunteer will have use of a golf cart to navigate around the recreation area. Volunteers must be able to work in all weather conditions. This position may require volunteers to assist with maintenance such as painting, cleaning out fire rings, litter pick up, and minor repairs. The volunteer may be required to work weekends and holidays. This position is outdoors. Requirements: Volunteer must possess the abilitiy to work weel and deal with all types of people. They must be friendly and always represent professionalism in their duties. Volunteer must be able to effectively work with other volunteers, staff and contractors. Volunteers will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week in exchange for a campsite with 50 AMP electrical service, water, and sewage hook-up. Volunteers may have the option to extend their stay if the need persists. Volunteers must have a RV (not a tent), vehicle, and a driver’s license. Duties:  Check and post the campsite reservations. Attempt to resolve any reservation issues that arise.  Maintain restroom cleanliness Check all grounds and pick up all trash/litter Perform as needed: minor RV electrical pedestal repairs, unclog toilets, repair facilities, clean shelters/camp sites ie. BBQ pits/fire rings and replace toilet paper as needed Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted, need to be mobile and able to walk long distances and stand for long hours.
