Job Description
LOCATION: Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area
DATES: June 1, 2021 – July 31, 2021
DESCRIPTION: Host duties at Fort Yamhill include a mix park maintenance and site security, with things such as raising and lowering the flag, mowing, weed eating, checking the restroom supplies, ,locking/unlocking restrooms, blowing parking lots, litter patrol, leaf blowing, painting, cleaning interpretive displays, light trail maintenance, answering questions, providing park presence, and notifying rangers of issues/ emergencies.; The site is a partially shaded, full hook up site with: 50 amp service, in ground septic, city water & laundry facilities onsite. Decent cell and satalite reception. Must be able to walk uphill 1/2 mile. No trailers or RV’s over 35′ allowed. No WiFi available.; The park is a small day use area with great views of Spirit Mountain and the Coast Range. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde are site partners & park staff respectfully share their side of history. Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area is also an amazing archeological site & much research has been done by Oregon State University.; Fort Yamhill is located 10 minutes from the town of Willamina, and is only 40 minutes away from the beautiful Oregon Coast.; If this sounds intriguing to you, please contact Ranger Matt Huerter.; We look forward to meeting you
