Job Description
LOCATION: Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area
DATES: April 1, 2021 – May 31, 2021
DESCRIPTION: Host duties at Fort Yamhill include a mix of interpretation and maintenance, with things such as roving interpretation, raising and lowering the flag, mowing, checking the restroom supplies, sweeping, litter patrol, leaf blowing, painting, cleaning interpretive displays, light trail maintenance, making visitor contacts, answering questions, and providing park security and presence.; The site is a partially shaded, full hook up site with: 50 amp service, in ground septic, city water & laundry facilities onsite. Decent cell and satalite reception. Must be able to walk uphill 1/2 mile.No trailers or RV’s over 35′ allowed. No WiFi available.; The park is a small day use area with great views of Spirit Mountain and the Coast Range. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde are site partners & park staff respectfully share their side of history. Fort Yamhill State Heritage Area is also an amazing archeological site & much research has been done by Oregon State University.; Fort Yamhill is located 10 minutes from the town of Willamina, and is only 40 minutes away from the beautiful Oregon Coast.; If this sounds intriguing to you, please contact Ranger Matt Huerter.; We look forward to meeting you
