Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for those who enjoy working with the public and have an interest in history or nature. Volunteers should be able to stand/walk/hike for moderate periods of time, able to kayak/canoe, and willing to work outdoors in hot, humid weather. Typical hours for this position are from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM inclusive of a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute beaks.
Shifts are generally 8 hours long and you will be working 32 hours a week which might include weekends and holidays.

An RV pad is available for volunteers willing to work 32 hours, four days per week, from approximately 11/8/2020 – 3/6/2021. Amenities include water, electrical, and septic hook-ups, and free laundry facilities near the RV pad in the adjacent employee housing area. There are currently no other housing opportunities for this position. The pad is located less than 1-mile if walking or less than 2-miles by vehicle/bicycle from the Visitor Center. Public WiFi is available inside/adjacent to the visitor center. Overall, there is no cell or television signals in the area.
