Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper to join our team at our Grand Island KOA Journey in Doniphan, Nebraska. (Also looking for a park manager so this would be perfect for a couple).
The Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper will be responsible for performing various maintenance and lawncare tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
Maintain park lawn, weed eating, picking up debris, leaf blowing
Site clean up: cleaning out fire pits, garbage removal
Deliver firewood, fill propane tanks
Assist activities/recreation department when required for event set up and break down.
Pressure washing buildings
Basic electrical and plumbing skills
Basic regular maintenance: painting, changing a faucet, etc.
Should be able to lift 75 pounds
Other duties as needed
Will need to become very familiar with campground layout, sites, lodging units as well as the rules and regulations at the campground
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
– Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
– Lawncare and landscaping knowledge
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
– Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $16 – $20 per hour (depending on experience and need for site accomodations)
Option of Free site rent, electric, water, sewer, garbage removal, internet, etc.
Expected hours: 40 hours per week
