Position: Assistant Camp Host
Schedule: Part-time to full-time seasonal (including weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Position Overview
As Assistant Camp Host, you’ll be the key liaison between group leaders and the Camp Director. You’ll help ensure smooth operations, attend to group needs, and support a safe, welcoming environment for all guests. This is a boots-on-the-ground role, perfect for individuals who enjoy variety, people, and the great outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and orient group leaders upon arrival
Assist campers with settling in, especially new visitors
Be available during group stays to support and troubleshoot
Report damages, safety concerns, or emergencies promptly
Prepare and tidy buildings before group arrivals and after departures
Oversee scheduling for camp amenities (pool, lake, snack shack, zipline, fires, etc.)
Distribute forms and obtain signed waivers as required
Help set up activities such as campfires, outdoor lights, and evening events
Stay observant and proactive regarding grounds, housekeeping, and maintenance needs
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Calm, friendly demeanor under pressure
Ability to follow procedures and handle sensitive topics tactfully (e.g., noise complaints)
Familiarity with the area (local food, services, churches, hospitals, etc.)
Basic maintenance skills and willingness to assist where needed
Ability to manage or assist with zipline operations (training provided)
Physically able to walk grounds, take out trash, and stand for extended periods
Willingness to adapt to flexible hours and changing camp conditions
Work Environment
Outdoor-based role in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, humidity)
Irregular hours, with a focus on weekends, holidays, and evenings
Scheduled time off provided, during which you’re free to leave camp
