Job Description
Campground host for 75-site BLM campground twelve miles north of beautiful Bishop, CA.
DATES: 10/1/2020 – 5/15/2021
Camp host for the PV Campground. The PV Campground is located off of Pleasant Valley Dam Road, with an outstanding view of Mt. Tom and Wheeler Crest in the Sierra Nevada Range as well as the snow-capped White Mountains. Nearby are the popular climbing areas of the Happy and Sad Boulders as well as The Buttermilk Boulders and Pine Creek. Plenty of opportunities for climbing, hiking, sightseeing. Closest amenities are in Bishop (12 miles). The campground is located at an altitude of 4,973 feet. Any size RV can be accommodated. Pets are absolutely okay. No water, electricity or sewer is provided on site. BLM will pay a daily reimbursement of $17/day. The minimum commitment is 90 days. The BLM would prefer a host for the entire season but will negotiate.
Routinely cleaning toilet facilities, stocking toilet paper, monitoring visitor compliance and providing visitor information to the public.
