Job Description
Looking for a great opportunity to share ideas when it comes to carpentry and other skilled trades? You have come to the right place!
We are looking for one candidate to share their ideas about sign restoration, cabinetry work, or other skilled professions. We are looking for a seasonal traveler that would like to extend their volunteer experiences. The Roosevelt Lake area provides mild cool winters in a desert environment.
DUTIES
- Installing, and/or restoring wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work
- Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation, wooden sign restoration
- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
- Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
- Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Creativity and design skills
- Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns, and painting equipment
- Joinery or cabinet-making skills
