JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: The volunteer is assigned duties to supplement the efforts of the project management team. The scope of the duties includes but is not limited to work alongside ranger staff with various projects, weekly park restroom cleaning or as needed, litter pick up, patrol of the project and duties assigned. We prefer the work to be performed by a party of two.
Lodging: The park attendant volunteers are required to live on site, while on their duty days, in a designated site at the park. The Park Attendant pair must provide their own fully operable “self-contained” RV or another similar self-contained camper unit (one unit per Park Attendant contract). Maximum length of the camper/trailer cannot exceed 45′. The campsites consist of partial sun/shade and are level. Designated site utilities and amenities include electric (50-amp, 120 v), full water and sewer hookups, picnic table, fire ring and a pedestal grill. The dumpster and recycling bins are located at the Buffumville Lake Office for all trash disposal needs. Wi-Fi is not available at this location. Volunteers must complete 36 hours per week to qualify for free full-RV site hookup. For volunteer pairs, the 36 hours may be split between the party.
